About SLOfresh

SLOfresh has been a slow-growing brainchild that first sprouted on a long run through rolling green hills, and budded from a meyer lemon tree in my backyard and a friend’s farm fresh olive oil. One bud blossomed into a beautiful citrusy dewey sugar scrub. Many creative blossoms grew from there, depending on the season and the SLO-grown bounty of the moment.  It grew into spontaneous recipes, inspired photography, and is always grounded, nurtured and sustained by the love and appreciation of friends.

SLOfresh is here to inspire those who love and appreciate all SLO offers. It’s not about me or one person, but about our community and the love we share for our area, how we can stop and breathe in its beauty and drink in it’s bounty.  SLOfresh is always changing, because our landscape is.  Our farmer’s market produce of the week inspires cooking and recipes made from what’s in season. Our handcrafted products spring up from the excesses we find and are inspired by a desire to never waste the pure goodness.  Our freshly captured images reflect small moments in nature inspiring awe, love and appreciation. Do you find joy in the simple act of being outside? Do you want to make use of everything that is harvested and not waste a bit? Do you care about ingredients and what you put in and on your body? Do you care about how we treat our earth? Check in with us often to see what the season’s inspiring us to create, and be inspired too.  Share your own thoughts, feedback, inspirations and creativity with us and our SLOfresh community!  We’re so glad you’re here!
